Mental Health Day at the Capitol

Today, I went to the state capitol in Salem with other NAMI members from all over the state to lobby for mental health issues. I met with my state senator and representative. There was a rally on the capitol steps and the governor and some members of the legislature spoke. I connected with some people I haven't seen in a while and met some new people. It was a beautiful, crisp winter day and was well worth one day of vacation.

Gotta go check the news to see how much coverage we got.

Who's reading?

Hey, I put a counter on my blog to see if people were stopping by. Much to my surprise, there have been quite a few hits in the past week or so. If you're reading and you have an opinion about something you've read, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment.

On another note, I sent out a link to a survey. Not so hard. You click on the link and answer a few questions. None of them are mandatory nor are they very difficult. So far, six (yes, that's 6) people--one of whom is my sister--have participated in the survey. Working where I do, we use data to manage everything; maybe I'm just an analyst-geek. More likely: I'm impatient.

And Now I am going to solicit you for any missing relative's contact info (Mom, I'm talking to you too). If you know how to reach a cousin, an aunt, or an uncle, please send me their info because it'd be cool to connect with someone new.

Speaking of which, I have recently found a few lost cousins. One was happy to respond. Not sure if the others will write back. It's fun having such a big family but it's sad that we don't all know one another. I feel privileged to have grown up around a lot of family members and treasure the memories. Time to make some new memories and memories for the kids.

Take care. Complete your survey. Hope to see some comments here!

Welcome to the long lost cousins!

I am on a mission to coordinate this reunion. So far, I've found a whole bunch of long-lost cousins on classmates.com. I know... not such a huge feat but my mom's impressed!

Please send me your email address and I will add you to my mailing list. Or you can access my web survey at the following link: Goulet Reunion Survey.

Hope to hear from you soon!

SURVEY SAYS...

Please take a moment to complete family reunion survey I sent via email requesting your input regarding your family reunion preferences.

Even if you're not a cousin, please participate!

The data we compile will help us plan a reunion that meets everyone's needs (that's the business analyst coming out in me).

If you or another family member did not get the survey email, please let me know your email address and I will add you to the distribution list.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Attention all cousins!

I am planning a cousins reunion. I'm just in the preliminary stages but if there is enough interest, I will likely include parents too… we’ll see.

You know there were at one time ~68 first cousins, not to mention second cousins! It's a shame most of us don't know each other. Let's change that!

Right now, I’m trying to gather everyone’s email addresses, especially those of people I don't know so well. So if you have people in your address book who want to be included, please forward me the info.

I should be sending out a web survey later this week to gather data to help us make this the best reunion ever! I’ll keep you posted.
